Spark Plug Question

Iridium is supposed to be good for 7 years or 100k miles.
Platinum is a little less life than that, but they are both a lot longer lasting than yearly copper plugs lol

My factory plugs still looked good and not much different than the new ones I was putting in. I've read that they are good up to a 150,000 miles and that platinums are good for 100,000 miles. I don't know how accurate that info is though.

I've pulled factory plugs that were dual branded AC Delco and NGK from cars with 150,000+ miles. I assume they were iridium (especially given the mileage and how well the car ran). I have been using NGK Platinum plugs from Rock Auto (shipped to my door, they are about $3 a plug, awesome deal and they perform great).
I stay away from BOSCH plugs (too many bad experiences with them). I've been a die-hard "AC Delco" plug guy, and recently went to NGK (price and reading good information). The first car I put them in was my wife's Impala, my first time seeing dual branded plugs. Seeing AC Delco outsourced to NGK helped make me feel better that I was putting NGK into the car. Since then, I have put NGK into a total of 3 GM v6 cars. Each one performs outstanding!!
Locally, the cheapest platinum plug would be over $6 a plug (iridiums are even more).

Remember my post gave a year range. Stuff does go bad over time, not just over mileage. Iridium is supposed to be good for 7 years, and you are at the 7 year mark.
