Spark Plug info PLZ help
#3
Always check your spark plug gaps. New plugs may come 'pre-gapped'. But every time I check new plugs, I find some that are NOT gapped properly. Since it's simple to do BEFORE your install them (and a pain to take them all out while trying to diagnose a poorly running engine) and costs nothing but a few minutes of your time, ALWAYS check the gaps on your plugs.

CRAP!!!! sorry guys i ment to say iridium spark plugs. Yeah Iridium plugs are apparantly what came stock with the car and i was wondering if IRIDIUM plugs need to be gapped, not platinum. Sorry But excelent advice from the both of you!!!

Whether they are standard resistor type, platinum, iridium or any of flavor of plug it is always a good idea to check the gap prior to installation.
When I just did new iridiums in my Impala a couple weeks back- they were all spot on- but if you're going through all that hassle to change the plugs, I'd take the extra time to make sure its correct- just don't put any force into it at all.

Yeah i should have at least checked them, well im gonna take a look at them once i have the time and i will let you guys know if they where improperly gapped. BY THE WAY does anyone know what size gap is called for on a 2006 3.5 LT?
I apreciate all the info fellas!
