Hey guys, I got him down to $700 so I just went for it since the risk wasn't too bad. I realize the cars probably been hit before, the pin stripe isn't there because of the shoddy paint job they did (just needs to be touched up and sanded). The fender is bent in, but my mechanic is taking care of it. total bill on the repairs is $1100 (Every gasket, exhaust, good spark plugs, oil change, new fluids everywhere, a bunch of other tune-up ****), so I put about $1900 into it. The car structurally didn't seem like anything was wrong, but if there is, the guy really just signed the title, no AS IS bill of sale or anything.

You may want to check your local laws, but in most states when you purchase a used vehicle it is a 'given' that you are buying it 'as-is'. Any type of warranty must be stipulated in the bill of sale otherwise you're on your own.
