Shift kit
If you are only talking about shift firmness and quickness, a real shift kit is more effective. You can adjust it anywhere from stock to 'feels like the engine is gonna fall out' at each shift with minor adjustments.
A tune can't get anywhere near that- but you can adjust shift points (rpm)- which also has its benefits.
