So i think im finally on to something here. This rough idle keeps going away and coming back. Im starting to notice it happens when im down to 1-2 gallons. Then i fill up and it goes away after a few miles.

What the hell does this mean?

 

Sounds to me like,
A:
Never run your tank down below a quarter tank...NEVER!

B:
Sounds to me like when your on E your fuel pump is picking up the residual sediment in the tank causeing it to no longer be able to produce the proper fuel pressure necessary to keep the motor running at top efficiency! Thus ending up with a damaged fuel pump that wil soon need replaceing.

Good advice. Its been tough for me lately money wise. Im gonna just have to take a good chunk of my paycheck and fill it up.

 

How long has it been since you replaced the fuel filter? Run a pressure test on the pump (connect tester where filter is) and a second test at the Schrader valve located at the pressure regulator.

 

It has a new fuel filter only a couple weeks old. Ill see about doing a pressure test soon.
