Recommendations solicited for a cam upgrade
Hey, trying to decide on a path cam upgrade for the SS monte I have. Its not a daily driver, so I am not too concerned about down time for the install.
There's so many cams out there suchas: Intense, NIC, XP, XPZ, etc and I just don't know which one is better, or has less disadvantages than others.
I am looking at trying to get the car to mid-13's while still having decent street drivability. I don't want just a strip car and fuel consumption is not an issue (well, it is, but I only drive the SS rarely so its not too bad.)
And if it sounds good too, then its a another plus.
My supporting mods thus far:
CAI, LQ4 N*, GenV M90, 65# fuel injectors, PRJ fuel rails, SpeedDaddy headers, and other minor upgrades like 180 thermo. I do have plans to put a stage 3 intercooler on this as well during the cam install as this is gonna pull the top off when I do the M90 swap.

I've heard that people get great results with an XP cam. I would recommend that. Btw, NIC stands for No InterCooler or Non InterCooled. That might help your decision.
65# injectors? Are you planning on running E85?

Well you learn something everyday. Had no idea NIC was the acronym for No Intercooer.

Did a Custom grind on my cam for maximum performance. Did not grind till the heads were back from being built so we really knew where we had to go based on the heads specs. Guess off the shelf would work fine if you have a general idea of your motors specs and such.
