Default Rebuild or Buy already done?????

Ok guys so I know that I am going to get the transmission done as I am rebuilding the engine. I was thinking about getting it from Triple Edge since the quotes that shops have given me are a bit outrageous. But then I noticed they have some good performance rebuild kits and thought about doing it myself. Are our transmission hard to do? Should I just spend the extra and have it done?

Transmissions are not exactly hard but if you never done anything like it, it can get a bit overwelming, id suggest buying one so you can get a warrenty

Yea that's true. Just thinking about weather that extra $1,000 to have it already done could be better used on getting the engine to run again. lol

It all depends on if you see your time as money. I know a lot of people are willing to save $30 to do it yourself, and not worry about how long it takes. But I like to consider my time money

I think if you are spending that much on a transmission, I would pay to have someone do it correctly, instead of me spending all of that money and then possibly screwing something up lol

Yea I know either way I am going to use their parts or have them do the job I just am leaning more to using their parts and doing it to use the extra money on the engine so I can get she up and driving again sooner.

I dont think it be worth the money saved to cut corners and do it yourself, mine is going out & i dont even wanna do it myself and ive done a few, best things is to get it done by TEP and do all the install yourself and if u wanna save money, build ur motor yourself thats alot easier
