Quick LIM question

Default Quick LIM question

I'm going to be doing the LIM gasket on our 04 supercharged within the next month. I've done dozens of LIM gaskets on series 1 and 2 N/A engines but only 1 on a supercharged. I know on the series 1 supercharged 3.8 you didn't need to remove the supercharger to remove the lower intake. Does the same ring true on the L67? I'm just putting together a parts list and need to know if I need the plenum gasket and o rings. Thank you

I'd take it off anyways, from what I've seen a lot of times the stock s/c gasket can get some oil soak from the pcv, and gets a little nasty around the egr port. Its only like a $5 gasket, so I'd change it too.

Oh, and if I were you, I'd do the aluminum LIM gaskets instead. They're a little more pricey, but I think they're a much better piece.

Thank you. I'll take it off and replace the gasket just to be safe. Its not too much more work.

I didn't know they made the aluminum LIM gasket got the L67 but I'll get it. Good to know. I put the aluminum ones on my 99 Bonnevilles SLE
