Default PVC breather

So im fixing up a intake pipe, and I was wondering, the PVC line running to the intake from the engine..Ive seen some put a small filter breather on there. Ive read it does a backward job for our engines, but is this true? Does anyone run a breather on the PVC? Or on the engine cap?

Or if anyone knows how to make a custom PVC line for a ABS pipe, that'd be cool too? lol.

On my 6th gen, I have an Oil Catch Can instead of a breather. The air that gets vented in the bay come back into the cabin and smells awful. Run an Oil Catch Can as it doesn't allow the oil/air mixture to build up on the intake manifolds, which results in cleaner air going into the engine and a cleaner burn.

And it's PCV lol (dyslexia is forgiven )
