so im looking at putting a 600HP engine into my 81' monte i know i will have to replace the transmition with one that can handle that kinda horse power and ive been told the differential too but im having a little trouble finding a differential here is the engine and the transmition i have picked out

i was also looking on advice as to what else i will need to do for the car to be able to handle that much horsepower.

 

Your driveshaft and pinion, differential and axels all will probably need upgraded to handle the power. Not to mention your suspension will need upgraded or at least beefed up in the rear to handle the car on launches and burnouts. I would recommend upgrading the brakes as well to get that 600hp back to a stop in a safe distance.

what are you plans for the car? strip car? street car? dual duty doing both?
