I am in the process of buying an 82 Monte Carlo. Have been a Monte lover as long as I can remember. Ive seen a few places on the web where people have put an SS front clip on a LS. I would like to put like an 86 SS front clip on my car. Just curious if anyone out there has done it, knows about it, can give me some advice, point me in the right direction or whatever? Anyone help would be appreciated.

 

First off an 82 is an SC, LS was late 86-88 and had the euro front nose (and a little more work for an SS nose as the fenders are different).

You will need an 83-88 SS nose, fender extensions, honeycomb support, air box, headlight buckets and front spoiler. Basically everything forward of the rad support.

 

85_SS is right on everything. Start looking for a parts car or spend about a grand on the kit.
