Default power steering on 3.1

Ok so I've ran into a problem, I have a leak somewhere on the left side of the motor bay, i am constantly getting streaks right above where the belt is at, I will wipe it down off the hood, and drive again and it will be right back. My gasket on my water pump is good and I replaced the belt a couple months ago. I thinks its my power steering pump. Do you have to a power steering pump on these cars, or is not necessary.

Yes the power steering pump should be somewhere near the top of the motor. it's right next to the alternator. If it's leaking it's probably bad. (i'm not positive this is what you motor looks like)

I know where its at, its only got 90k miles on it, I was thinking the o-ring is bad, but I was thinking about getting rid of it, it the 3.1 in the second picture. I wanna gut it, but I don't how to rearrange the belt without changing the water pump pulley. That's why I am asking you guys, I'm not very fluent on the 3.1
