Power Programmer for 3.5L
So what do you guys think of the power programmers for the 3.5L? I've seen one made by Jet Chips, and one made by SuperChips...
Jet chips has 2..a stage 1 which runs on regular gas and all stock set engine. Then they have a stage 2 that runs on 91 octane and requires a 180 T-stat, and free flowing exhaust...I have the stock 185 t-stat. And yes its a 185 in the 06-07's.
Do you guys think any one programmer in particular is better? The Jet Chips is cheaper by like $150...But I would pay extra for a better product.
What kind of HP gains do you think I could get with a power programmer? Also I would love to change the shift point of 2nd gear...A) so it held it into redline like it already does 1st gear, and B) so it would down shift into 2nd until 85MPH istead of the 78ish MPH it does now....
I've looked around for a "custom" tune for my car, but the performace shops don't support the 3.5L for tunes at this time...
Thanks for your help, info, and opinions....

Why not bite the bullet and look into getting an HPTuners kit?
Since you can't buy a canned tune, do the homework and make your own custom one. Instead of spending $200 on something you may not really be happy with, and something that might not give you all the options you are looking for.
