plug in scanner. DONT WORK.. HELP

Default plug in scanner. DONT WORK.. HELP

2003 monte carlo ss... check engine light is on.. and lifters are ticking.. i plug up my scanner.. says no link found.. so im guessing the data link isint working... i checked the cig and aux fuse.. all were good.. still no data link... please helpp

Have another car to check whether it's the car or the scanner?

yes its an odbII and i hooked it up in the gtp it worked... tried it in the mc it says no link

Only thing I could think of is checking different fuses?

The driver side fuse panel contains a fuse marked CLST/BCM that supplies power to the data link. Have you checked it?

checked every fuse in the car they all are good

most standard scanners for sale to public scan engine codes and extra for abs,,Pcodes,,the genysis scanner is the one to use
