Update if U have this code U need a new trans. I got mine done and yes the price is between $1500-$2300. I got mine done for $1800. Yes I rode with this problem for about 1 1/2 yes, but I went on and got it fixed because I didn't want the problem to mess up something else under my hood, and the problem will never go away. We might think at times it seems like nothing is wrong well let me tell you through experience yes it is a problem that has to get fixed eventually.

 

Figured an update is due since it's been 2 years since my last one and it may help someone.

I have not had the problem fixed but the code still comes up during scans.

I still put lucas stop slip/hard shift in it a few times a year...I can't even remember the last time it hard shifted. Monte's still going strong so I have to believe the lucas is doing something!
