My 04 monte harness has the o2 harness clipped off and I have no idea which wires are which? They are not the same as the universal O2 sensor indicates they could be? Could anybody help me out with this?

Hmmm.... I'm guessing it's got two wires in the harness, a ground and a hot.... one wire should be a ground and one be hot. But I do'nt know, just a guess. If you turn the ignition on and have a test light and ground the test light on something, then one wire should light the test light up when you touch it to it. That's your hot. Now where each one goes on the oxygen sensor I have no idea... I've never messed with the O2 sensor so I don't know what else this may entail. I would like to know why someone did that to your car too.....
