Default ok what can i get to help

ok this is the things i have for my trans to help the life of it. i got and installed a trans cooler to help the life because i plan on keeping my monte claudia. i was wondering what will help with the life other then frequent qnd regular trans service on it. what i am wondering about a shift kit will it help the life of the trans or will it decrease the life of it? the reson why i ask is this is my first automatic car i own and i have heared horror stories and seen horible things happen to a automatic when it has and has not been taken care of. am i asking or just over analizing for no good i like to keep my monte running for a good long time

Just don't beat on the car constantly, flush the fluid and change the filter every 30k.

It's all luck.
