Default oil pressure problems

I was out driving just normal nothing aggresive or anything. Thats when i noticed the little screen on the cluster was saying i had low oil pressure. At that point the oil pressure gauge was bobbing back and forth over the half way mark. The engine temp was running normal and the oil isnt old enough it should have to be changed. What could be wrong and how would i go about fixing this problem? I have an 02 ss with roughly 200,000 on the engine.

either a bad sensor or the oil pump is going bad. either way until you get a way to monitor oil pressure dont drive the car because if you are losing oil pressure you will trash that engine very quick

Well the gauge is not reading that it is extremely low or high its just bobbing around a bit where it used to sit before the code came on the little message center
