Just use 5w-30 either conventional or synthetic. I use 5w-30 royal purple full synthetic for the cold winters of Minnesota

Mobil 1 5-30 fully synthetic.

Ya know, i've had a couple people tell me that running conventional oil will stop the DOD (oil usage) problem....weird

Displacement on Demand. When the 8cyls go to 4cyls to save fuel.

In 07 they changed it to VVT or something like that.

I use Mobil 1 with no problem at all! Tried Mobil 5000 when I took it to a shop but I cant seem to find it at any Autozone or Oreillys :/. I bought a '90 f250 about a month ago and the oil was as black as satins heart and it was a little on the thick side like the oil additive I use. I drained that and put Mobil one and boy did a miracle work lol. No more tapping noises and the blow-by has been reduced drastically with a smooth idle.

I was always interested in RP but they only sell them in the small bottles... I work in different chemical plants and I remember one of them used RP so thats what originally gave me the idea
