oil leak

Exclamation oil leak

i have abolt broken on my oil pressure sending unit will it cause oil to puddle and there is oil on top ofthe sending unit please help

I don't know what you mean by a broken bolt, but a cracked or broken sending unit will allow oil to leak and puddle.

I replace the gasket about 4 months ago And broke the head on one of the bolts that mount it into place

What engine is in your Monte? The 3100 and 3800 engines do not use a bolt to hold the oil pressure sending unit in. The unit has threads to spin right in. If the unit is damaged, you'll need to replace it.

Sadly, I do not know much about the 3900. Perhaps someone else here knows where the oil pressure unit is at on it....
