i will argue the fact of wanting a PCV system thou, i feel there a horrible setup and every car should have them deleted and run a catch can.
lol, what? your setup does the same thing a normal PCV system does, only with a can to catch the oil mist. You're still pulling pressure out of the crank case with intake vacuum- just like any other PCV system.

every car should have them deleted and run a catch can. reason y this is not done is there is the hastle of draining the catch can with every oil change to be safe.... like thats hard to do hahaha
That will keep the oil out of the intake tract, but then you still have EGR dumping soot and carbon back into the intake manifold also.

Lol exactly it catches the nasty oil so it doesn't dump into the intake. Its eliminating the factory pcv system for a cleaner pcv solution. So let me clear this up for you. Every factory pcv system should be eliminated for a alternative oil catch can/pcv system.

Correct, but is it that hard to disable the egr in the pcm so it never opens never trips a light and is still there for visual? Just saying.

I was told by my mechanic that as long as I remove it and it doesn't look like it should be there and the code is gone from the PCM he could pass me no problems

Same with my CA air pump

Also true, that's what I did. Mine is completely gone and still passes. I dont think it will pass emissions if you need that thou.

If I needed emissions I would leave it on and disable it Then before going for emissions enable it to pass and then disable again lol.

I thought with the age of our cars, most states just hook it up to a computer and make sure there are no emission related codes?

No codes, no fail.

Some states actually have something they put by your exhaust to test emissions, but many states just check for codes.

I thought the sniffer was just for cars under 5 years old.

I guess each state is different. I luckily don't need emissions tests on my cars

I'd say it depends on the state. The counties in Ohio that have emissions automatically test anything pre '96 on the rollers with a sniffer. Everything else is tested by computer, unless your computers aren't in the ready state, then they'll just put it on the roller.

Now if you actually fail by computer, you can only pass by computer after that.
