O5 supercharger chip?
hey, welcome to the site
plug in chips dont do anything for car's anymore in my opinion...if you want a difference go with the smaller supercharger pulley and get a superchips programmer...
programmer's work much better than chips...i dont think chips do anything to newer vehicles
some people swear by them...but put it on a dyno and test it...and i dont think chips do anything anymore

it all depends on the chip man. and what you mean by "chip"
if you are talking about a new PCM then a new pcm can be just as good as a tuner if the program is correct. programers are better cause you can make changes as you add more mods to the car.
for a programer, this is what i recomend over a superchips programer. http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GN7021/MCUNDE...PowrTuner.html
it is what i have. there is an entire forum with other people with similar cars there and they can help guide you on how to tune the car. so even if you have no tuning experience you can learn from people with years of experience. i had no experience on how to even begin to tune a car, and i havent even had my tuner for 9 months and i have seen serious results tuning it.
if you plan on droping pulley sizes, you will need to have something to scan yoru car for problems caused by higher temps from a smaller pulley. and with the tuner you can add fuel to correct these problems. a tuner is expensive, but it is the best mod for the money!
