Default Starter or loose wire?

For the last couple days, when I crank my car up, it hesitates for a second, like the battery is low. Then it will crank up.

This morning when I tried to crank it up, it hesitated and went quiet. I turned the key again, and nothing happened. no, slow drawn out turn of the starter, not even a click.

I thought it might be my terminals being corroded. They were pretty ugly. I cleaned them as well as I could, using cokes. Still nothing. I tried jumping off with another car, and tested the battery, which was good. no luck.

Any suggestions? Is it my starter?

coke on a battery?? never heard of that before..they make spray stuff thats good for cleaning and keeping them clean...but never heard of anyone putting coke on a battery before....wierd

are you getting a clicking noise when you try to start the car or just no sound @ all???

easiest thing to do first is take the battery out and have it tested, if its not that then sounds like the starter...i think that if you can take it out autozone or someplace like that can test it for you...

if you live where its cold this is the time of year these things go

how old is your car??

Sounds like a starter issue

Coke and Pepsi is a good way of cleaning corded terminals...... just rinse it off real good
