Default Nitrous kit for 06-07

I have talke with some people who have done nitrous and they say it the best dollar for dollar way of getting more horse power. Whats anybodys thoughts on adding nitrous to a 3.9 v-6. It can be done and a 100 shot 75 to 100 hp gain would be really awesome for the drag strip. Could our car's handle it ok? I think its a good altenative so since it cheaper than a supercharger or turbo and it would only be needed at the strip. Any thoughts post them.

The only thing I would worry about is the tranny. I dont think you would hurt the engine. But maybe a 75 shot would be on the safer side ya know.

i talked to my head mechanic at the garage where i work, and he says that the car and tranny can handle 100 shots, but i would use the 75 just to be safe, as the 100s will eventualy wear the car down alot more than the 75's will.

i was asking the guys at nitrous express last year when i bought my kit and they said that a stock motor can handle 20hp per piston so a V6 by what they say can handle a 120 shot ! but i would not push it over 100 and would start @ 50 then go up to 75 and then work my way up to the 100
but there should not be any problem with a 100 shot

your engine should b fine...the tranny may be a different story...start slow and let the tranny get used to it

A good direct port can be set up if you weld bungs to the manifold.

DP seems like a lot of money and work for 100 hp- especially since people have had such good results with basic single nozzle wet/dry kits.
