Unhappy New guy here....need help with 1985 monte carlo engine swap

Hi everyone, I hope Im posting correctly here.My friend has a 1985 Monte Carlo. He put a 1964 Nova 383 stroker in MC.383 had standard transmission in Nova.MC already has Turbo 350 in it, so we installed engine and connected everything we could.Except for 2 problems.1st prob is starter. He has a high torque starter but we cant get it to work with 383/t350 transmission. We cant get it to "shim" where it will work. Its as if theres not enough clearance "sideways" to make it work. What type starter should he get? 2nd prob is water pump/alternator/power steering pump......Cant get all three to work out on it.Everything is on opposite sides from these 2 engines/cars...Can anyone steer us in direction to solve these probs?

Which Flexplate is on the engine? 153 or 168 tooth?
Which waterpump is on it ? long or short?
What heads are on it?

thats what i was thinking ^^^^. some of the older heads arent drilled for accessories and it might be a short pump. i dont really get the starter question but pics would help.

I'm thinking maybe he has a 168 t flex w/ a 153 t starter. That's the
" Its as if theres not enough clearance "sideways" to make it work."
Making me think that.
