Some of you may have read my modding posts, most recent was the thread I started when FINALLY installing my mods, if you wish to play catch up, here it is:
https://montecarloforum.com/forum/en...g-begin-27879/
Anycase, since I installed the mods, first problem was the death of my upstream O2 sensor (appears my PLOG had debris in it, I blew it out with the air compressor, but it appears it had more that burned off and destroyed the O2). With that came stumbling but once going fairly smooth but it did not seem like what I expected the mods to yield.
Replaced the O2 with a Denso unit and now was throwing a new engine code suggesting a small vacuum leak and the car running lean. A couple days later I got the original code thrown by the failed O2.
I worked with Kelly at PCMforLess (who did the tune) and he was great to work with and VERY helpful. I came to the conclusion I had no vacuum leaks, and he had me grab somoe basic data from the car and came back that the PCM needed a tweak. At the same time I sent it back to Kelly for adjustment, I also read some people had issues with a Denso O2 sensor and Delphi was the recommended unit.
Now, I have the Delphi O2 sensor, the programmed PCM, and for a V6, my Monte with all these mods feels like a bat out of Hell!! I am NOW finally grinning ear to ear and LOVING everytime I goose the gas!!
And with my experience with PCMforLess, I would NOT hesitate recommending those guys, top notch customer service and for a guy like me (not completely savvy in the world of PCM tuning), very helpful!
I have been driving the Monte since Sunday really (was out of town after getting the PCM back) and after numerous stop/starts it appears problem free.
Here's my site with all the info on my mods AND pics from the install weekend:

Thanks guys! I've been REALLY enjoying it now that it all seems dialed in right! It's pretty sweet.
I have to give credit where it's due. Chibi got me started. Being new to the concept of modding and throwing questions on a different 3800 related forum, he sent me a PM with a wealth of info. It's very possible I may not have done all this had he not contacted me and got me started
Admittedly, my build differs a bit from Chibi's initial advice, but he gave me a great path to start with! Thanks Mike!!!

It is pretty amazing what a tuned PCM can do for you huh? I was AMAZED the difference a tuned PCM made for my 3500/ 4T65-E combo. It created a whole new BEAST.
Like you said, makes your grin ear to ear everytime you nail the gas.
