The general rule of thumb is to budget $1000 for a top swap. It's not that it will be that expensive because you can find top swaps here or on clubgp or other 3800 oriented forums for as cheap as $250. But you will need a lot of misc stuff that will nickel and dime you for quite a bit.
Also, talk to Enzo about actually doing the swap so that you can understand what some problems that come up while doing the top swap. I've never done a top swap, but I have changed the head gaskets on my Monte and that's about 85% of the work of a top swap. So I understand it, but I don't have personal experience with it. PacerSS might be able to help you too with the details of it.
I didn't mean to contradict you Enzo. $1500 would be a great budget and you would absolutely not go over that. An engine swap could be done cheaper depending on the price of the engine that you buy. Either way, it takes work to make hp, but it's worth it.

I already have the supercharger and I have a good engine now so with that said I can still do it but change out some parts right?
Look around on here for threads about "top swaps", this topic has been discussed in detail many times.

Also check out zz performance; They have a lot of info on doing a top swap, lists of needed parts, and install kits. They also sell a modified intake that lets you use the stock l36 head, and larger s/c pullies if you don't/can't do kr mods. Though you should also decide what your power goals are, after a while your better off going with a turbo kit than a top swap.
