Hey i got a 95 z34 with the 3.4 it idles up amd down and i cant figure out why i changed idle air control valve and the tps and still does same any suggestions?

 

Is there any certain condiitions that it usually happens during? check for vacuum leaks, mist starting fluid around the engine while running it'll rev up if you have a leak.

 

It runs fine at times once i start it it jumps to 3000 then once i drive itl stay around 1500 and then goes from 1100-800 and a few times it stalled cause it went so low

 

Check vacuum leaks. Any check engine lights? If your car has a maf clean it. have you done a tune up? If so when? Any and all details are very helpful

 

hey so i cleaned the mass air flow sensor that did nothing, checked for vaccum leaks found one fixed it and still nothing, i also sprayed eather around motor to see if it would jump up on idle but nothing, running out of options, its weird the car runs fine most of the time but as soon as i start driving it goes higher and i found it weird when i drove threw a carwash the car stalled 4 times ??? maybe something underneath ?? going into engine bay,,,, thanks

 

and just gave it a tune up also.

 

What did you clean the maf with? Sorry but I forgot to mention onlyto clean it with maf cleaner.What all did you do for a tune up? Since you said it died alot in the wash, check your coil packs for cracks. If you have old plug wires or bought the cheapest you could find then I would replace them. Sometimes moisture gets into the ignition system causing it to stumble n stall . You can probably clean your egr valve with carb cleaner you should be able to disassemble it, get new gasket for its mounting point to. If you have any other past/present issues with the car please share it may help.
