My Monte is back on the road...
Sent the car to the shop about 8 weeks back, finally had it returned to me all repaired and ready to fly. Think the trip from Utah to Pa. and back, then from Utah to Denver really triggered undesirable performance issues.
It was running like crap, no umpf, throwing cel codes left and right. Matt test drove the car and it was only making 10lbs boost, could not get out of it's own way so to speak.
Ended up having mainly boost and vacuum related issues, from leaking injector O-rings. Maf air sensor was blown apart (1st time Matt ever saw that happen he said), the ABACO Digital Mass air meter had failed and had a blocked cat. New heater core installed to while he had it.
So a few days in the shop along with a few dollars, got her back today, drove it home about 80 miles and wow it was refreshing to have a powerful car again. Now tomorrow X-mas were due to get clobbered with a huge snow storm, so I only got a handful of hours driving it today and then tucked it away in storage.
But whew hew hew, she pulled so hard, So glad to at last have it back.

I too wish I woulda asked for a joy ride in Greg's Monte. That car is just a piece of art! I'm thrilled I got to see it in person with my own eyes
