i have a 01 monte carlo ss 3.8 & was wondering if it is possible to swap out the motor & trans to a 5.3 v8 out of a grand prix gxp.

 

Not without a bit of modification.. There are a couple topics around here documenting it.

It's absolutely possible (and I'm near certain I've seen one completed before in here, but Im struggling to find the thread- mightve been on another forums).

That link is a ls4 + manual swap into a 5th gen monte which is an even tougher project than youre considering.
