I have a 1999 Z34 3.8 3800 monte carlo i can get my car up to 105 and that is where it cuts out is there anything else i can do to make it go faster i hear u can get 113 out of these cars please post back thanks

 

high flow cat, no resonator, cold air intake, if there is a u-bend get rid of it
or maybe some computer tuning

 

You need to either swap the PCM, or get a tuner for your computer. Accessories wont make a difference for top speed. Its your computer thats stopping at 105. Exhaust and intake mods will most definitly help for 0-60 times and 40-70 times. But top speed is dealt through the computer. Its not a cheap mod though. Atleast 200, some as high as 400

 

Pick up this PCM, it is compatable with your 99 and will remove the top speed limiter. Hookup a with additional mods Wiz mentioned for more power and it will get you to your top end faster. Also make sure your tires are rated for higher speeds. I always get tires at the minimum will do 120 and like getting 140s as they are built with stronger compounds and are more resiliant.

Once you get at the PCM under the air cleaner it is just a matter of 2 small bolts. The bolts ensure the wireharness stays on... these are like 5 mm bolts or so and easy to get off.
