i have a 02 mc with a s/c 3.8 driving down the road it acts like it has a throttel stop on it. lol it cuts in and out but dont stall but it has no power when this happens. it does it for a few sec and goes away acts like a miss any ideas? i changed the wires and the plugs looked good . it comes and goes

What do you mean a throttle stop? I'm not quite understanding your problem lol

 

Well being as the 2002 didn't come supercharged, all signs point to a swap. Is it top-swapped or a full engine swap?

Could be a problem in the tune. How long have you owned the car?

 

i said throttel stop as a joke had the car over a year and i put the engine in the car and had it tuned . this is the second s/c engine that i put in the car the first engine didnt act this way there is 160.000 miles on this engine. other than it acting like a miss it runs good. the first engine blew up 97 they say is not the best choice to go with. it does this speratic could b going 35 mph or 60mph it happens more at 55 or 60 mph it cuts out with no throttel responce then it stops and is ok.
