Default Lifter tick or rocker arm noise

Okay so I've got a 2005 Monte Carlo SS w/83,500 miles and lately I've been hearing a ticking at cam speed. Its very very faint when first started but after the car is warmed up it gets very loud. I have no idea what it is, any help with this would be appreciated

Lifter noise happens on these cars, but generally it's loud on cold startup and then goes away as soon as the car warms up (and the oil gets flowing into them properly).

It's going to be damn near impossible for anyone to troubleshoot your issue based on an audio description over the internet unfortunately. Have you tried troubleshooting anything yourself?
If the ticking sound is increasing in speed with engine rpm's, it's possible that something in your valvetrain is clicking...but I'm sure there's other possibilities of what it could be too. You'll really have to narrow down exactly where the noise is coming from, and start your troubleshooting from there.

Has the check engine light come on at all?
If so, what are the codes it is throwing?

Best of luck,
-Riggs.
