Jack Is Down Wont Start Need Confirmation
hey peoples, normally my car in the am (cold start) it would have a long crank and then start, for the rest of the day if the car is warm it would start right up. today i tried to start it for the first time and nothing happens, the only think i hear is a noticible click and no start, i have power i thought my starter was bad everytime it had the long start in the mornings but now i think it went, so before i order this part i just want a second opinion thanks

Even though you have power the battery could be on it's last leg and not be able to produce enough juice to start your car. How old is it, do you know? Are the terminals clean? Can you jump start the car? if so it may just be a new battery for you. You could have your alternator checked too and see if it is producing enough power to keep the battery fully charged. Could be a worn loose belt. Also Autozone and such can check your starter for proper operation before you purchase a new one. You will still have to remove it and take it in to them to check it's performance.

I made a video gotta wait for it to process. But basically the starter gear is going in the flywheel and getting stuck it seems, I was able to free it by manually turning the flywheel with a flatip but tried again and kept getting stuck. I will try and jump it and see how this goes, if it does start that would be weird

And also I forgot to add that a couple times prior to all of this it clicked and didn't start but started right up the second try I thought that it just didn't connect all the way

It takes a lot of power to operate the starter.... I've had batteries with enough juice to operate all lights, windows, but only make clicking sounds from the starter.
If it can be jump started with another car you have a dead battery. It was either dead because of improper charging or the battery is going bad.
