Default Which Intake Manifold is Better (1974 400 small block)

I have a friend who is giving me a Edelbrock 2116 performer intake manifold. I wanted to know if I should use the 2116 or keep the C3BX that I have on it right now. Everything works fine with my 625 cfm Carburetor. I dont know if this will work with it if I do the swap though.

Unless you have votec heads that intake will not work.

The intake looks almost exactly like the one I have. Isnt Vortec for the newer Chevy engines? I have a 400 V8-Turbo Fire.

yes the vortec heads are off new chevy engines..i believe 96+ until they switched to the LSx style.

that 2116 is for vortec heads, and will not work properly if you do not have them. im assuming you do not because of the fact that you are using an old c3bx manifold..
