So my car seems to idle fine... not eradic, but occasionally when you first start it up, it doesn't idle quite right, but smooths out and drives fine. It's starting to get slihgtly worse and more common when the car is warmed up. Any ideas out there? My ignition coils are 118,000 miles and 8 years old as far as I know.. I replaced the plugsg and wires about3 years ago at about 90,000 miles with AC Delco stuff. Do you think I need to replace my coil packs? Maybe it's a sensor?

 

Could be your MAF sensor?

 

Mass Air Flow... the one right after the air filter maybe? It's not off my much... a couple hundred rmps, usually between 800-1000 is where it is eradic. Seems worse when the car is warmed up rather than cold too.

 

All tell-tale signs, could just need a can of MAF Sensor Cleaner sprayed on it.

It's on the TB closest to the opening for the air filter. T-20 security bit takes it out

 

And I also know my a/c compressor is out.. not locked up, but hwen you turn it on it squeels like crazy and never cools the car.... could that effect the pull on the crank?

 

Is there such a thing as a recommended interval on those ignition coils anyway, or just replace them if they go bad?

 

I think they are a replace as they go bad item.

 

Coils you replace as they go bad ,I'd clean throttle body with cleaner,maybe clean idle air control ....
