have you had any experiance working on cars?

a RWD engine pull is one of the more simpler ones basicailly it is alot of time making sure everything is unhooked, unbolted and taking your time,

why are you pulling the motor?

well i been busy so i'm going to try to knock this out on my lunch

step 1: Jack up car, put on jack stands, drain all fluids, unhook all wires, coolant lines, trans spedo cable,

Step 2: mark drive shaft location on driveshaft and coresponding parts(trans and rearend) remove drive shaft retainer (metal bar that looks like a cross member but doesn't hold anything remove bolts from rearend and push drive shaft forward drop down below rearend and pull backwards, un bolt y pipe from exhaust manifolds, remove cooling fan from water pump, unbolt trans from crossmember, and lossen crossmember from frame do not remove yet! and pull the dipstick and tube from trans

Step 3:undo motor mount bolts but leave bolt in, remove carb, dist, and anything else you think will cause a clearance issue while pulling the motor,

step 4 bolt on carb lift plate get your engine hoist or come along(use in garage using the rafters) into position and pull the engine upjust enought to relive tention on motor mounts, pull motor mount bolt out, get under neat and jack the trany up alittle so you can fully remove the cross member,

step 5 get a few budies over to help you guid the engine and tany out while some one is running the hoist or come along

take your time and go slow is key!

if you just want to do the engine disregard all the trans stuff up there
if you are leaving the trans in the car you will need to undo the inspection cover ont the botom side of the trans, un bolt the tourq converter from the flywheel, unbolt trrans from the motor just make sure you put a jackstand or a jack under the trans once the motor is ot so it's not just hangin there under it's own weight

nice write up justin. I would like to add make sure you mark all the bolts and small parts so you remember where they go come time to reassemble. Ziploc baggies work good for this.
