I haven't gone to the point of tipping the engine yet, have managed to get back there without it. Just glad plugs aren't an every 3000 mile change, would really suck going through this BS that often.

Sometimes have small, feminine hands comes in handy. I had like 2" to spare and not tipping the engine to change those plugs. Lots of experience on other projects and you know how to thread something without looking at it. I would say if it isn't your first spark plug job, it may be hard feeling what is hwat in there.

As far as your lost part, if you got on the ground there's some sort of pan down there behind the engine, like a giant cross member, and everything I drop on this engine ends up on that pan somewhere. A long magnet usually finds it.

+1 to having not huge hands, and being double jointed in my elbows is amazing for this kind of thing

Anyone with a 4th gen SS knows how bad the front dead space is. If you set anything in front of the radiator support and it falls in the latch hole, You can see it but you will never get a magnet long enough to catch it haha!

Wishing I had the small hands, but then again being 6'5", small hands might look kinda funny .

OK, gotta vent a bit here. So I get home today, open up the garage and car (in a light mist to make everything that much more enjoyable). I finally get the boot off of #4, plug out and new one in. Then, exactly what I saw coming happened. The MSD wires I bought (which MSDs site say fit) don't even come close to working on this application . I had to use the longest wire in the box to get to #2, so when I got to #4 and #6 I was really up the creek. Will be ordering a set from ZZP I believe, and returning thes POS MSD wires to Summit in the AM. I may try getting a hold of MSD first and see if by chance I have some weird set that got screwed up.

It's probably stuck between the engine and trans by the crank sensor.

I lost an 18'' breaker bar while doing an engine swap on my old s10 pickup. I didn't realize it until the next time I went to use it so I figured I just left it under there somewhere. I sold the truck to my brother in law and about 2 years later he was doing some work on it and had to pull the radiator and there it was right in the groove on top of it. It would have stayed there forever if he didn't take that cover off.
