Default having trouble starting and stayins started

Please help. When I go to start my 2000 monte SS, it dies. This happens about every three tries, then starts fine sometimes. Other times, it will start, but act like its going to die, like chugging, then it dies. Then it starts fine. This does this sparatically. might do it for a few days then not do it again till 2-3 days later. I have recently tried a fuel filter and it still does it. It has died a couple times while driving down the road. Any info would be appreciated

How many miles on your Monte Carlo ?
How long have you owned it ?
When is the last time it was tuned ?
Sounds like it could be a bad starter or solenoid ?
Have you cleaned you MAF ?

Please post as much information that you can about your problem & hopefully one of our expert tech's can assist...
Good Luck

Idle Air Control Valve if giving it gas keeps it from stalling.

MAF sensor should be cleaned too.
