Is it jerking only from stops? That happened to me in my 05 LT. It started around ~76,000km. I had a code P1811 I got with my scanner. It's an enhanced code and won't set the check engine light. If so, it's likely the pressure-control solenoid. I've heard its not uncommon and it shouldn't be too expensive of a fix (mine is still on ext. warranty and I think there was ~1 hour of shop time involved).

Hey guys im having the same problem with 02 ss. It has almost 60,000 miles on it and after about a half hour of driving it shifts hard into 2nd and 3rd. I was rear ended about a month ago so I told the insurance company it started happening after the accident (a little white lie). They are going to take my car to the chevy dealer to diagnose the problem. I'll see what they say and if it needs a solonoid replaced and it won't be covered from the accident I'll take it somewhere else.

Wasn't this a problem GM is aware of?

This "sometimes" happens to me after driving on the highway. I'd start from a stop and it would shift hard into 2nd & 3rd the most.

Although after using some lucas oil it helped...

Do all of us whip the car hard, maybe that can be the reason? lol
