Thanx for all the replies, I am going to change the tranny fluid and filter as soon as possible, the car has been parked for a few days, and actually the tranny fluid was low so let's hope a fluid change will help.

yes Low tranny fluid causes lots of problems my dads blazer always hard to go in reverse what do u know it was low tranny fluid :P

as for my car dealer said they did flush and filter befor i bought car. 65000KM, fluid Is full and no burnt smell Nice and clean red 98oookm now.. Probly Try Fluid and filter again maybe they didnt put right tranny fluid in..

The electronics are sooo sensitive in these cars - everything must be in perfect working order or the computer goes berserk. My hard shifts into 1st and 2nd were due to a defective MAS and bad thermostat.
