hi, i was recently looking into swapping a 502 into a 1986 Monte Carlo SS. and i wondered if anyone on here has done this, and if they had any problems or any wisdom they could shed from their experience. thanks

 

I dropped a 400 Big Block into an 88 monte ss...wasnt a bad swap..just make sure your suspension is up to the job of handling the bigger motor and that you get the right mounts in there...other than that adequate cooling system upgrades and such..I went the fuel injected route with that motor...so that involved other stuff..its not a bad swap...Oh and you will be smiling ear to ear when all is said and done....Dont forget to put a stronger rear diff in if you will be getting on it at all lol....dont want a wheel to go rolling by ya trust me it isnt fun
