Engine bogs down during acceleration.

Engine bogs down during acceleration.
Definitely need help with this one haha. Every once and a while, when Im accelerating at any speed, as i press on the gas to move from a complete stop, the engine seems like it is struggling to pull the car down the road. But once up to higher speeds it seems to be fine. Im thinking it might be the torque converter? I only put 93 octave in this card quite frequently put Lucas injection cleaner so it can't be the fuel system, and it wouldn't make sense if ignition was the problem because it still fires correctly, Im purchasing a new air filter today and hopefully that fixes the problem. Im driving from Syracuse to Rochester tomorrow so i need this fixed tonight hahaha. Thanks for reading!

Are you tuned for 93? If not the fuel won't fully ignite (you'll have raw fuel passing through the system) dirtying things up. Your cat could be clogged as well.
Easy way to check and/or eliminate your cat as a problem would be to start the car and let it warm up for 10-15 minutes (until it reaches closed loop) crawl under and look at the cat - if it's a redish/cherry red tint, possibly with a glow it's clogged.

You probably ruined your catalytic converter. You are using an octane that does not ignite at the correct time, thus you have extra unburnt fuel in your system, this ruins your Cat.
Put the recommended 87 octane in from now on.
*edit* since we posted the same thing lol. To test the cat, it's not just running your car and looking, you have to run your car aggressively and then look at night to see a redness.

So not to interject on your thread or anything, but my car when I got it shortly after had a clogged cat. Could that have been from running lower than 91 octance by the previous owner? Just wondered the problem is fixed now but it was just a thought.

I wouldn't say it was from using the wrong gas, as lower octane would just detonate a little early and cause knock and less power.
But anything, from dirty sensors to a poor tune could richen the fuel and help ruin the cat.
