I think you should go with an XP cam instead. On average, people make more whp with the XP cam then with the VS cam.

i have a xp cam on my monte along with a gen v, n* tb, speed daddy headers, 42.5 injectors, and am currently running a 3.4 pulley and put down 279 to the wheels with a moderate tune not agressive at all. i love the xp cam my power curve was gorgeous and the torque curve was like a table

Well, you certainly want torque if you are doin' it a 1/4-mile at a time.

The VS cam is an aggressive version of the stock cam.

The XP cam will help a lot with KR, you might actually be able to run a smaller pulley if you have other supporting mods. But the low-end does go a little, so daily driving might feel a tad worse than the VS cam.

I wouldn't worry about a cam being bad for a daily driver unless it's an all out race cam. There are LOTS of guys running XP cams as daily drivers. You'll be fine with it.
