Default Engine Blowing Smoke

I have a 1972 Monte with a 350 that was rebuilt 2000 miles ago. It blows a little blue smoke at idle or when it is reved up. Any idea on what to check for?

HAVE YOU RECENTLY PUT A NEW EXHAUST SYSTEM ON IF SO THEN IT COULD BE JUST BURNING OFF ANYTHING THAT WAS INSIDE OF THE EXHAUST OR HEADERS. THIS HAPPENED WITH A 69 DODGE DART MY DAD HAS WHICH HE ALSO JUST REBUILT THE ENGINE

At 2000 miles it should be broke in. Blue smoke is a rich running condition if memory serves me correctly. What carb are you running?

I vote for the carburator being too rich.

Rich would be black smoke. Blue smoke indicates oil being burned. Were the valve seals replaced with the rebuild?

I am not sure if the seals were replaced. This is what I was thinking it was but want to make sure. I am running a stock quadrajet 4 barrel carb. That was supposedly gone through whenthe engine was gone through. It does run fine.
