Forget about pulley swaps with your engine- you have no supercharger. Also, forget the trans swap- it isn't practical or likely at all.

If you just do an intake and mufflers, you don't *need* a tuned pcm, but it would be helpful since most change the shift points a bit and fix common fuel problem areas- so it would be beneficial at any stage, even though it isn't required.

Going to the library won't do any good (unless you go for the internet)- you're not going to find any helpful information on your specific engine. Your best bet is to do searching on here for beginner mods for the 3400- or go to www.60degreeV6.com, join their forums- search and read their forums, and maybe ask a few questions over there.

Their site specifically caters to your engine, and they should have plenty of good tech info on mods to search through.
