Emission Monitors 2001 LS 3.4
Just figured out my trac/abs problem and posted and hope it helps others with the same problem which I understand is very common. Just search trac. but...
I had a P0446 code and found the vacuum leak at the purge solenoid and repaired.
Cleared code and have driven about 400 miles and still the monitors recording O2 Heater, EVAP and Catalyst have not recycled and the emission test is due within a couple of weeks. No codes are showing and only P0446 was showing before I cleared codes.
I read somewhere low battery voltage would be the primary cause of this but very new battery and showing 12 volts.
This really freaks me out as my 99 Jag has the same problem and has been off the road for 6 months while I have not been able to solve the problem.
At least on the Jag I was showing codes, but the Monte shows clear. yet will just not show those three monitors as complete. The MIL shows off.
Any ideas from the other Monte lovers here.
Thanks from an old man who loves to work on cars.
