if the sound goes away then its related to something attached to the belt

The sound goes away only when I am sitting idle at the light or while my car is parked. Which the car is ON!It only sounds when I accelerate

did it go away with the AC turned on? I'm trying to isolate it to parts of the motor/trans

Nope! I tried everything but nah, while the AC was on, the sound was still there. Even when the HEAT was on, it still does that.

Whats the tranny fluid look like? and any change in shifting stiffness, or shifting under acceleration?

the gears seems to change just fine. i have checked the fluid level in the trans. i will do that. but does the trans effect the way the engine sounds?

no was wondering if you were getting tranny whine, its a sign of age.

I'll ask more Q's when i get another spark of inspiration

I just came back in the house, the sound is getting louder and louder when I drive (hear it well from the inside but from the outside, I don't know). It sounds like my whell is rubbing up against the whell cover (while in motion) which its not.

Could be a wheel bearing then. Which would make you change the whole hub assembly on the faulty tire.

Do you feel any vibrations if you turn hard?

Don't fault me for this but you just turned on a light bulb in my head because I remember my car sounding like b4 and it was my right hub assembly. Which I had that replace but couldn't afford to get them both replaced.
