do I need a gtp fuel pump for the the sc motor swap
#11
If this new pump don't fix it then that's what I'll be doing. Overkill said I had to trick a sensor since it was supposedly tuned for a gtp. So I have been basically chasing ghost all this time. Does anyone know who does a good affordable tune? Thanks everyone who has taken time to help me address this issue!

overkill does the best tunes hands down if your having issues with it, either it is the pump, or it was an honest mistake. give him a chance to correct it. what year monte do you have? i have a 98 harness and drivetrain in my Z and am running 98 L36 code in the pcm. i recently tried a modified 99 GTP file and had some issues with it. i would suggest asking will at overkill to build the tune off your existing NA file.

there must be harness differences between the 99 gtp and 98/99Z34. with the 99 GTP bin file and pcm i had 5 codes in addition to a case learn code. even after removing them from the bin file they still would show up. having active codes prevent the completion of a case learn. Without a case learn rpm will not be accurate and timing and fuel will be incorrect.

Like said he is a good guy. Just like Holmes on homes. "He will make it right".
As fr the PCM. L67ss what harness are you running? Are your egr and evap hooked up? The 99 gtp PCM runs the car but without beig able to run a case learn I don't feel safe with it. So now it is just a backup limp home PCM if I ever need it.
