Coolant Leaking from radiator!!!
Well, your right! I have to watch out for the fake cheap radiator (thanks for the advice).
I thought the thermostat goes in with the spring side downward and the half round top side upward. But, if thats the incoorect way to install it then i am more than happy to replace it... Is there a certain way to position the thermostat besides upside down???

the pointy, or cone shape should point up or the the part with spring should be facing down toward the block. that's the best i can explain. there's only one way the 'tstat can go in. if it's upside down there's no way it will fit the 'tstat housing. you had it install the right way. did you say you already put new 'tstat in?

Yea I put the new one in and now my car is running hot. The needle on the temp guage either stays in the middle or 2 notches over. Before going to pick up my girlfriend from work, my car starting running hot (while in that bumper to bumper traffic). So now I brought it back to the garage and pulled the thermostat off, it was operating correctly. The thermostat is closed now and that let me know that It was working (thats probaly the reason why I came from hot into the regular temp). All in all, my car is STILL RUNNING NO HEAT!!!!!!!! Its driving me insane.
After checking on www.autozone.com, they said if its not the thermostat, then it is the "Heater Control Valve". Which, that part I don't know how much it cost or if it really is the reason.
what exactly is the part called? heater control valve? stupid question, what year is your monte??? i looked around for a little and would like to help if i could. i have absolutely nothing exciting going on here besides having to run the sweeper, which i'm not looking forward to!!!

I just tried something from searching off the net. A teaspoon of black pepper and water inside my radiator (I happily recommend that to those trying to save money to find out the problem). And too be honest, that works for temporary purpose only but by me doing that procedure earlier, that buys me some time to repair the actual radiator. Good thing I've changed the thermostat because that wasn't working propertly which now I am getting heat (just so my kids won't be cold while inside the car at least). Other than that, I see, by me temp pluggin that hole /crack in the radiator, I see that radiator needs to be replaced period and that its nothing wrong with my heater core or whateva other cooling system part that could go bad (for right now).
